Yue Yue runs at top speed all her waking hours

We had the medical exam +TB test and completed more paperwork and took the  photo for Hannah's passport on Shamian Island. Busy afternoon but the morning was relaxing. Tomorrow-the Guangzhou Zoo :)

Yue Yue runs at top speed all her waking hours. She is loud when she wants something. There have been comments about her from other adoptive families and our guide. Oh boy! :0 "Oh there is the one that screams"  She is sleeping 12 hours and eats very well! She likes to laugh and play. She uses the squatty potty very well :0 We must be careful when we are outside and she has to go-instantly and quickly she pulls down her pants and goes -right there. We are watching very carefully and taking her many times when we are out. :0  She is taking everything in and is learning fast. She called "Sammy" this evening! He loved that. It is taking a bit longer for her to bond with me because of her close relationship with her foster mom. She is comfortable with me and interacts with me -but it will take a little time to reach the bonding . In time.........

We are having a good time-though we miss being home and miss all of you. We are thinking of all of you during Thanksgiving-hope it is a blessed day -we know what we are thankful for this year-our adorable little daughter! We have much to be thankful and love you
all bunches.

Happy Thanksgiving!  Love Lisa, Marty, Sam and Hannah

Hannah laughs a lot and has a good time wherever we go

Today we went back to the Civil Affairs office to fill out more paperwork, have our interviews with the Chinese officials and had the photo taken  of the family.

Hannah(-we are still calling her by her Chinese name/nickname Yue Yue-)is very active and vocal!!!!! Wow! She also laughs a lot and has a good time wherever we go. She colors/uses chopsticks with her left hand and has a very determined personality-sort of like Anne "with an
E" :)

Today is my brother's -Erik- birthday. Hope all is well at
home-hope mom and dad can see a few of these photos. We now have free internet service so I am able to get online in some capacity here. Love you all-I am thinking of you and hoping you will have a great Thanksgiving with family ! Lisa, Marty, Sam and Hannah (Yue Yue)

Gotcha Day

Gotcha Day happened around 2:30 !
There were around 20 families receiving their child at the same time. A very loud room!!! Hannah was very upset and cried and screamed. Because the Orphanage had chicken pox they did not let her in and had just said good-bye to the foster parents. A very traumatic day already. I could not calm her down and she reached out for Sammy and as he took her she instantly stopped crying. We had lots of papers to sign and money to pass over and she sat with Sammy quietly. Only he could hold her.

She finally fell asleep on his shoulder. He was the proud big brother! She was smitten with him the rest of the day. We had a quiet afternoon and evening. She is asleep in our bed as I write this. She was used to sleeping with her foster mom-so weaning her to her own bed will be a step for another day. She ate everything we had for her and threw her trash away in the waste basket. She likes her way very much :0  and is strong -willed :0  She laughed a lot this evening ! Liz -she is in your pj's that you gave her :) A day to remember for the rest of our lives!!! And now a new chapter has opened for the Creech family. Thanks for your prayers-support and love!-
Love Lisa, Marty, Sam, and Hannah :)

The Great Wall - 11/19/2011

We had a cold, windy but sunny day to walk the Great Wall ! Amazing!!!!
Tomorrow we fly south to Guangzhou where we will stay the remainder of our trip. Pray for little Hannah's heart as she has already said good-bye to her foster parents and will be brought to us on Monday by the Orphanage Director. The day after tomorrow we will have Hannah with us-hard to comprehend! Thanks to all of you for supporting us and praying for us!!!

Love Lisa, Marty and Sam  P.S. I am amazed at Sam for trying all kinds of unknown foods and using his chopsticks so well! He is more daring than I am.

Arrived - 11/1/2011

We arrived safely in Beijing-tired but excited. We will be here today and tomorrow (Sat.) and then on to Guangzhou on Sunday. Today we saw The Bird's nest and other Olympic buildings, The Forbidden City and government buildings around Tian'anmen  Square. We are still getting used to the time difference of 13 hours ahead. We are traveling with 5 other families that will be adopting all around China. Love you all-'God is good!!!

Introducing Our Daughter

On Sept. 29th we got "the call" from our agency that we have a 2 1/2 year old daughter. Her Chinese name is Chen Yue. Her name we have given her is Hannah Yue Creech. Her birthday is March 23rd 2009. Her orphanage is in the Southern part of China in Guangdong Province. Hannah has been in foster care for the last year 1/2. We are so thankful to God for this answer to our prayers!! Our hearts are overflowing with joy! What a blessing God is adding to our family! Mom and dad are so thrilled! Sam can't wait to go to China :)  A trip of a lifetime ahead!

A Love Birthed In Our Heart

Children have always been dear to my heart. About 16 years ago I was visiting with a friend. She had just adopted a darling daughter from China. During that visit-God birthed in my heart the desire to bring home a little girl from China. Many years and prayers later-Marty and I began the journey of home studies-classes-mounds and mounds of paperwork-fire marshal visits-well water checks-safety audits-interviews-fingerprints by FBI, BCI and Homeland Security/CIS fingerprints-the long list goes on. This had to be repeated every 18 months. We waited and waited and sometimes I wondered-would this really happen?  All along, God through His  faithfulness and timing- had a plan. Through a series of awesome miracles and  events-after 6 years of waiting-we recieved word this Sept. 29th that we have a daughter! She is beautiful and we love her so much already! Thank you God from Whom all blessings flow!
